This set of two cotton tea towels, one of which is embellished with lovely machine embroidery of the Australian Golden Wattle, the other in a co-ordinating striped cotton fabric, is not only stylish, but practical and useful as well. Each tea towel measures 45cm x 70cm.
Australia’s Floral Emblem, although featured on the national coat of arms from 1912, it was not officially recognised until 1988.
The dense flower heads consist of clusters of up to 80 golden, fluffy, fragrant flower balls set against the bright green leaves. The green and gold are symbolic as the colours of Australia. Growing 4-8metres in height in open forest, woodlands and scrub in SA, NSW, VIC and ACT, with flowering around August to October.
