This set or two cotton tea towels, one of which is embellished with lovely machine embroidery of the Australian native Koala, the other in a co-ordinating striped cotton fabric, is not only stylish, but practical and useful as well. Each tea towel measures 45cm x 70cm.
The Koala is a sleepy tree dwelling marsupial, which spends its few waking hours munching on eucalyptus leaves. Descending to the ground to change trees once or twice each night, it eats approximately 1kg of leaves daily. The female gives birth usually to a single young, which lives for about 5 months in the mother’s pouch and 3-4 months clinging to her back when travelling or cuddling in her arms while resting.
A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of this product go towards the long-term conservation of Australia’s wild koalas.
